Hey SD – we made it to the finish line!

By the time you’re reading this, I’ll fully be off grid in Big Sur, leaning a little too hard into the camping fantasy. But I obviously couldn’t just leave you hanging on a Friday. In true Faye fashion, go get yourself a Friday treat – you deserve it.

Actually, double down on the treats and enter this too: Bluegrass icon, Billy Strings, at Pechanga Arena on 9/28. Win yourself a pair of tickets.

JUST ANNOUNCED

  • If you’ve been even tapped into newer reggaeton, Omar Courtz has probably been in your orbit. He spent time behind the scenes as a writer before stepping into the spotlight! Catch him in his rising era at Cal Coast on 8/23.

  • Float Like A Buffalo feels like a band you stumble into then won’t shut up about. Six-piece band, horn section, genre all over the place, and tight from years on the road. Soda Bar on 5/4 gets loud.

  • Ali Campbell’s voice is the throughline for most of UB40’s catalog, which is why this version of the band still hits. He’s been doing his own run for years now, keeping the core sound pretty true. Viejas on 8/15 is for the OG’s.

  • Check out all the other just-announced shows that have dropped this month!

LOCAL’S LIST: 5 GREAT COFFEE SHOPS FOR WORKING REMOTELY WITH REYNA

Looking for a coffee shop that won’t make you want to pack up after 20 minutes? We know a girl.

Meet Reyna Pizarro. Born in Tijuana, raised in the U.S., and fully locked into San Diego’s small business scene, she’s built a reputation on finding spots before they get insufferably crowded. Marketing brain, social media plug, and remote work veteran who knows the difference between “cute café” and “I can actually get stuff done here.”

For this week’s Local’s List, she’s dropping her 5 go-to coffee shops for working remotely — the ones with real outlets, tolerable noise, and zero side-eye when you’ve been there for three hours. She’s done the trial and error, so you don’t have to.

Because yeah… not every coffee shop is built for productivity. Some are just vibes and bad WiFi.

Manifesting the best weekend for you! TTYMonday!

Faye ❤️
