Happy Fridayyyyy and happy almost long weekend 💛

I don’t know about y’all, but this week felt approximately 47 business days long, so I plan on spending Memorial Day weekend soaking up some sun, eating something off a grill, and pretending I don’t know what an email is for at least 72 hours.

And while we’re looking ahead to the fun stuff, it’s also important to remember the people who fought for our freedom and made weekends like this possible in the first place. ❤️

LOCAL’S LIST: MATEO’S FAVORITE PLACES TO STOP AT BEFORE A PADRE GAME

This week’s Local’s List comes from my friend Mateo Alvarez, who I met in college when we somehow became random roommates. He was the only boy living in a house with seven girls, survived with grace, became my favorite roommate, and is still one of my besties to this day. Character? Proven.

Now, he works in event operations with the San Diego Symphony and San Diego FC, so he knows San Diego game days from both sides: behind the scenes, making the magic happen, and in the group chat, figuring out where everyone should drink before first pitch.

Also, he’s single. I’m just saying.
