Oh, cheers to the freaking weekend, my friends 🫡

The vibes are turned ALL the way up today. It’s the last Friday of the month, the last weekend of the month, and summer is officially knocking on the door.

Which actually brings me to a question: How can I set y’all up for the best summer possible? What guides do you want to see? What hidden gems should I be digging up? More free things? More music? I’m all ears because summer is hands down my favorite season, and I want to make sure we absolutely HAGS this year.

• Maybe it's nostalgia talking, but early 2010s country music had a real moment, and Hunter Hayes was right in the middle of it. See where he’s at now at The Observatory on 9/24.

• Some bands demand your attention. Holy Wave just kinda pulls you in without asking permission. Catch them at Soda Bar on 11/8.

• Mavis Staples marched with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., sang with The Staple Singers, won Grammys, and is still doing the damn thing. The legend plays at Poway Center on 9/27 – this will be a very special show!

• I don't know whose idea it was to put Knocked Loose, Denzel Curry, Superheaven, and Boundaries together, but I'd like to shake their hand. Petco Park on 10/30 is gonna be wild.
