I met my dad for coffee this morning at the absolute ass crack of dawn because, apparently, he thinks 6:45 a.m. is a normal time to socialize. We went to his favorite spot, Kettle & Stone in Mission Hills (10/10, by the way), and no joke... John Cena was also there getting coffee. Completely casual way to start a Friday. 😂

Safe to say I already got my little Friday treat, so now it's your turn. You already know Summer Launchpad is back this Tuesday, and yes... I'm bringing even better raffle prizes this time around. • WAR has been making music together since 1969, and somehow songs like Low Rider and Why Can't We Be Friends? still get a room moving. They play Belly Up on 10/24.

• Before playlists knew you liked electronic music, Paul Oakenfold and The Crystal Method were helping shape the genre. The Mission Underground Tour lands at Music Box on 11/6.

• Hudson Westbrook went from posting songs online to selling out shows across the country in just a few years. Next stop: Frontwave Arena on 10/3.*
