Happy FriYAY!!!

Last night my boyfriend and I went over to dinner at two of his older clients' house, and if I'm being honest... before we left, I was trying to think of every excuse not to go. I was tired. My social battery was hanging on by a thread. I had already mentally changed into my pajamas.

But I'm so glad I went. They were the sweetest people, and I’m so grateful to have been able to meet them. I drove home thinking, "Damn... why don't we do that more?"

I feel like somewhere along the way, we all got weird about making new friends. Like, once you become an adult, you're just supposed to keep the same circle forever. I call bullshit.

Lots of people say that it’s hard to gain genuine relationships in San Diego. But, community doesn't just magically happen… we have to build it. Invite your neighbors over. Grab dinner with someone you've been meaning to get to know. Say yes to the random plans.
