HAPPY HALLOWEEN WEEK!!! 🎃 I hope you all had a lovely full moon weekend because she was sooo pretty last night.

And in extremely predictable Faye behavior, I spent part of mine at a full moon/witch birthday party dressed as a witch. Very immersive. Very authentic. Almost concerning how little character work was required. lol.

But enough about my weekend. We have an entire spooky little week ahead of us, so welcome to the Halloween Edition of this newsletter. By the time you reach the bottom, my goal is to have your calendar significantly more haunted than it is right now.

And naturally, we’re starting with something deeply relaxing: The Ring.

The Ring in Concert brings the horror classic to Jacobs Music Center 11/1, with the score performed live while the movie plays. Because apparently watching Samara crawl out of a television wasn’t stressful enough already. Enter to win tickets!*

Oh, and before we continue: please ignore the fact that Just Announced is not Halloween-themed. I still have to tell you about the new shows. DUH.

JUST ANNOUNCED

  • Your 2010 indie-dance muscle memory is about to get tested. Two Door Cinema Club is taking Tourist History back on the road and lands at The Sound on 5/24.

  • Six years between albums is enough time to completely reinvent your personality twice. CHVRCHES used theirs to make All The King’s Men, then booked The Observatory for 3/12.

  • Put a tiny black heart between your holiday parties. Amigo The Devil brings his beautifully grim little corner of folk to House of Blues with Nate Bergman on 12/15.

  • Starting 2027 with Bone Thugs-N-Harmony feels significantly more achievable than whatever resolution you were about to invent. They hit The Observatory on 1/2.

  • Last week of October!!!! Check out all the just-announced shows from this month!

When Your Pet Needs to Borrow 10 Grand

Table legs get scratched up like they owe the cat money. Shoes are dragged under the couch like the mob disposing of a “package.” These are routine costs of pet ownership; a $10,000 surprise emergency surgery is not. Unfortunately, things DO happen, and you most assuredly DO want to be prepared for them. Pet insurance can help you offset some of these costs by providing up to 90% reimbursement, with plans starting at $10/month. Click below to find the right plan before your animal invents a new way to bankrupt you.*
