• The Soul Rebels have that New Orleans thing where it starts tight and then slowly unravels into a dance floor, whether you planned for that or not. They’re playing Belly Up on 6/10. Tickets go on sale tomorrow!

• They’ve been blending synths and breakdowns longer than most bands have been trying it, and it still hits live. Enter Shikari plays Music Box on 10/8 with Initiate.

• Between MADtv, TigerBelly, and Bad Friends, Bobby Lee has told every story imaginable – and then still finds new ones that always land. Catch him on 10/3 at Pechanga Casino on The Finally Tour.

• If you were ever even a little into that late ‘90s/early 2000s indie-punk orbit, Smoking Popes probably had a hold on you at some point. They’re back for two nights at Casbah 6/23-24, with Alien Boy opening.
