Quick housekeeping because yesterday’s subject line was not everyone’s cup of tea: this newsletter is written by someone who is almost never serious. The whole point is to make your inbox a little more fun while giving you cool shit to do around San Diego. It’s not a formal news briefing, I’m gonna joke around, and there WILL be silly subject lines.

The La Jolla Art & Wine Festival returns to Girard Ave. 10/10–10/11 with 170+ artists, live entertainment, wine, beer, spirits, and plenty to wander through. The festival itself is FREE, but you’ll need a ticket to get into the Wine & Beer Garden.

• Remember when “All My Friends” was EVERYWHERE? Snakehips have spent the decade since keeping dance floors busy, and now the UK duo hits NOVA on 10/23.

• Dillinger Four have been doing this punk thing since the ’90s, so I think they’ve earned your Sunday night. Catch them with Prison Postumo and Tiltwheel at Casbah on 10/11.

• Who said day club season ends with summer? Certainly not San Diego. Biscits brings the house music to FIT Social’s (LED Day Club) on 10/9.

OK OK OKAY, before anyone questions my credentials: yes, I’m still vegetarian. But I have plenty of trusted fish taco authorities in my life, and they came through with the recs. San Diego obviously knows its way around a fish taco, so I think we’ve got a pretty damn solid list going.

• I somehow got my hands on two tickets to a SOLD-OUT tuna dinner. On 8/27, The Cork & Craft is carving a whole tuna live and turning it into six courses. Throw your name in the hat!

• Turns out, a whole city complaining CAN get things done. First the Balboa Park parking meters, now Mission Bay’s bathrooms are reopening. Still confused why they closed during SUMMER, but YAY! Keep speaking up, people!!!
