HAPPY TUESDAY!!! I am pleased to report I’m feeling 100% human again. Thank god. And now there’s rain in the forecast?? Even if San Diego gives us approximately seven drops, I’ll take it.

Also, not that anyone asked, but my newest favorite feature on the new DoSD.com is the little status update on the homepage. Those are me too. Along with the socials. And the guides. And this email. One-woman brain-rot distribution network, basically.

It’s been VERY fun finding new corners of the site to be annoying in, and I hope you’re liking the new digs so far. We’re only getting started.

Anyway, today’s status: recovered, yearning for rain + giving away Gary Clark Jr. tickets. He hits Humphrey’s 10/27 with special guest Xavier Lynn. Enter to win!

JUST ANNOUNCED

• Imagine getting a finance degree and then deciding, actually, I’d rather make thousands of people lose their minds to bass. NGHTMRE takes over NOVA on 1/2.

• Going from busking on sidewalks to playing Carnegie Hall is a pretty ridiculous career arc. Martin Sexton brings that voice + decades of songs to Belly Up on 4/11.

• Turns out being chronically online can become a legitimate career if you’re funny enough. Josh Johnson brings Comedy Band Camp to Civic Theatre 1/22.

• Apparently, three decades is not enough time for Deerhoof to become normal. Thank god. The experimental weirdos bring Earthball along to Casbah on 2/27.

• + MORE JUST ANNOUNCED SHOWS.

THE SONGS WE ARE LOVING THIS WEEK

We could tell you how everyone’s doing, but honestly their song pick is probably more revealing. Here’s this week’s accidental emotional-status report.

Read between the tracks … or lines.

P.S. Do you guys find this as fun as we do? Be honest, we won’t be offended.

WIN STUFF

FEATURED

Ok, that’s all! Must go outside and walk around barefoot for a sec. (Maybe that's why I got sick) Who knows. Clearly, I don’t care.

LOVE YOU MEAN IT!
