Happy Tuesday!!! ❤️ Today feels like a good day to choose love, kindness, community + knowing where the hell your voter registration stands.

The news cycle has been… doing a lot. And rather than add another screaming voice to the internet, I’m just gonna leave you with something actually useful: I put together a guide to voting in the November election so you can check your registration, know what’s coming + feel prepared when it’s time.

Your voice matters. Being informed matters. Take care of each other. That’s my little civic-service announcement for the day. 🫡

NOW!!! You did your democracy admin. YOU GET A TREAT.

Enter to win a TRIP FOR TWO to Fastball Comedy Festival in Phoenix!!! Round-trip airfare, three hotel nights, TWO 2-Day Premium passes, festival merch + dinner for two, with Bill Burr, Tom Segura, Dave Chappelle + more hitting the festival 10/17–10/18.*

JUST ANNOUNCED

• Ali Wong sold out 1/15, so congratulations to everyone who procrastinated: you’ve been granted a second chance. A new show just landed 1/16 at Civic Theatre.

• More than 4,000 shows into his career, Wade Bowen is still finding new ways to stretch Texas country into rock, soul + Americana. See him 2/18 at Belly Up.

• The devil has apparently discovered doo-wop, and honestly? Great branding. Twin Temple brings their deliciously theatrical Doomed Lovers Tour to The Observatory on 3/19.

• Part concert, part massive worship night: Elevation Worship leads the music, Steven Furtick brings the message + ELEVATION RHYTHM joins the lineup 3/5 at Viejas Arena. I’m giving away a pair of tickets.*

• + MORE SHOWS WHERE THOSE CAME FROM!

NEW MUSIC, ANYONE?

October’s playlist is officially OPEN. We just dropped this week’s Staff Picks in, and we’ll keep adding new obsessions every week all month long.

Want the lore behind each song? We wrote that down too. 😂

See why we picked ’em + start listening!
