It’s Wednesday… which feels aggressive considering Monday happened five minutes ago. Also, how is March almost halfway done? Time is moving fast — but your chance to win a beach staycation hasn’t expired yet.
You’ve got one more week to enter our Spring to the Beach getaway at Ocean Park Inn in Pacific Beach. The winner gets two nights steps from the sand, a 3-hour pontoon cruise around Mission Bay with Seaforth Boat Rentals, plus $100 to spend at The Grass Skirt + Firehouse and a $50 Activity Hub San Diego credit for whatever adventure you’re feeling.
JUST ANNOUNCED
Raise your hand if “Float On” permanently lives in your brain. Cool, same. Modest Mouse is coming to The Sound on 8/5, and tickets go on sale Friday.
If your music taste includes college radio classics and beautifully written folk-rock, you’re gonna want to circle this one. 10,000 Maniacs are playing Humphrey’s on 10/17, and tickets go on sale Saturday.
There’s a reason Arlo Parks won the Mercury Prize — the songwriting is that good. She’s bringing the Desire Tour to The Observatory on 9/14, which means one very cozy night of indie soul and poetic lyrics.
The fair concerts just got another upgrade. AJR, Maren Morris, Nelly, and Chicago have all been added to the San Diego Fair lineup, so expect everything from sing-along pop to classic rock and early-2000s rap nostalgia this summer.
Plus other just announced shows from Gary Clark Jr., Tower of Power, Benny Benassi, YEBBA, The Spits, and more!
WIN STUFF WEDNESDAY
San Diego loves a giveaway, and we’ve got a whole pile of them right now — concerts, festivals, events, and some seriously good experiences around the city. A handful of them close this week, so you might want to jump on that.
