Summer break is officially here, and I know this because I nearly got run over by approximately 27 children on e-bikes this morning. But hey, I can't complain – it's refreshing to see the youth actually outside instead of glued to their phones.

But to the parents: thoughts and prayers. Seriously.

I can empathize because I was absolutely somebody's problem every summer growing up. Specifically, my mom's problem (sorry mom). Thankfully, Junior Lifeguards gave me somewhere productive to channel all that energy.
