Can I just say... we're absolutely cruising through this week. Whether you're thriving or just barely surviving, you're doing the damn thing.

Now that we're deep into July, San Diego feels PACKED. Pride, Comic-Con, summer vacations... It's tourist season, baby. But, good for them. We know this city is iconic.

Locals Summer is almost here... I can feel it.

Speaking of... Show 1 of my Summer Launchpad Series is NEXT TUESDAY at Music Box! It's the first live event in DoSD history, it's no cover with RSVP, and I would absolutely love to see y'all there supporting San Diego's next wave of local artists. Also, because how you gonna call yourself a local if you aren't gonna local with the locals?

• Alice Cooper has been terrifying parents and entertaining audiences for over 50 years. Catch the rock legend at Cal Coast on 11/17. Tickets go on sale Friday.

• Tickets just dropped, and if you love a band that lets the music do the talking, I'd jump at the chance to see City of the Sun at Casbah on 10/24.

• Bats. Confetti. Bowler hats. The Adicts are bringing their unmistakable live show to Music Box on 10/21.
