Well well well, if it isn’t my favorite crew. 🫶

Launchpad Show 3 last night was THE SHIT. Every single one of these shows has left me a little in awe of the community I get to be a part of. There are so many people in this city who really give a shit about music, the people making it, and actually showing up to support it. Kinda chic to show up for your local community. I’ll stand by that.

So to everyone who has come to one, two, or all three shows so far, THANK YOU!!! YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST! 🗣️

And if you’ve been wondering how this whole Launchpad thing even came together, I took over our company newsletter yesterday and spilled the entire story, from the original idea to actually getting these shows off the ground.

Now somehow, and I genuinely don’t know how we got here this fast, WE HAVE ONE SHOW LEFT. 

The Launchpad finale is next Tuesday, 8/18, with The Reckless, Tigers in Cairo, and Nebtunes, and I would really, really love to end this thing with a bang. RSVP for no cover!

• Yacht rock is less of a genre and more of a lifestyle choice. Mustache Harbor is bringing the soft rock, smooth grooves, and aggressively nautical energy to Belly Up on 11/7.

• The man who made science extremely catchy in 1982 is still at it. Synth-pop pioneer Thomas Dolby is headed to Music Box on 11/9.

• It’s Sam Diego now, isn’t it? Sammy Virji is taking over Gallagher Square on 10/17, and I haven’t been to a party at Petco in far too long. I think it’s time.

• The baddies who had Launchpad dancing last night aren’t done with you yet. Chulita Vinyl Club is taking the crate digging over to Casbah with DJ Saul Q on 9/6.
