Okay, I KNOW I said I’d shut up about Launchpad after yesterday, but allow me ONE final thought. 😂
Last night ROCKED (literally and figuratively), and during Tigers in Cairo’s set, their lead singer, David, said something that really stuck with me: small venues, local businesses, local artists, community events…those are the things that actually shape a city and its culture.
And he’s right! We’ve watched places like Brick by Brick close, and it’s a good reminder that the things we love about San Diego don’t just stick around because we love them. We have to actually show up for them.
So after four Launchpad shows, I’m just really grateful I got to be a tiny part of bringing people together, putting some local artists onstage, and hopefully introducing a few of you to something new.
That’s my final Launchpad yap. 🫡 Support local. Show up for your community. And PICK UP YOUR FUCKING TRASH. K thanks!!!!
Now that I’ve given my State of the Union address, let’s go see Jeff Goldblum play jazz. 😂
